Quick Q. Regarding Mugen RTA bushing.
I have a pair of Mugen RTA bushings. I put them in a spare set of RTA's that was going to be swapped out on my last car. Pressing them in bowed the RTA itself, now I removed the bushings and plan to put them on the new car.
My question is: There is a coating on the face of the bushing that sits in the bushing seat, should I remove this coating before pressing them in to the RTA? Im thinking this is what *might* have caused the previous RTA to bow. Or should I just lube them extensively and leave the coating on?

Coating? I've never heard of any coating on RTA bushings. Maybe take a pic of this "coating"?
Even if there were a coating I don't see how that is the cause of bowing the RTA. Bowing the RTA is because of incorrect pressing of the bushing IMO. Alittle WD-40 does the trick, no need for extensive lubing either.
Besides, if a coating were needed to be removed, I think Mugen would've provided a sheet of instruction telling you to do so - so people don't go destroying TA after TA IMO.

Huh. Yeah, I just pressed mine in, no problems with a coating or anything. How were you pressing them in?
PS: 1200, I'm loving that sig quote,

Was using the RTA bushing extractor tool. The coating itself was just like the oem paint, nothing heavy. But upon removing the bushing the coating was marred, so I wasnt sure if it was supposed to be there. Ill just be extra cautious this next time and use lubricant.
