Default hid Retrofit

i just had a question. In order to do this retrofit do i HAVE to change the whole enitre projector and custom fit it? or can i just change the lens to a clear one?
I'm just tired of these shitty stock projectors and having to keep swapping out diff hid bulbs and not having the brightness i want.
I just want it to be PURE WHITE.. i tired 4300k, 6000k, and 10k.

There are shots on hidplanet of stock projectors with a clear lens swap, and the output is definitely better, but of course, a retrofit is always the best decision...given you can part with some time/money.

If you're like me and you keep stalling on spending the dough, a clear lens might be worth looking into. I forgot all about it, lol. I wanted to give it a try but I haven't found the proper lens.

Also, you might want to try some 5000k bulbs from retro-solutions if you want a white light. 4300k is too off-white/yellow, and 6000k is a bit too blue.

1.) Yes
2.) No, but use a clear lens along with #1 from above
3.) Use an OEM 4300k bulb with option #1 & #2 and you'll get excellent output and you'll have the white light you want.

I'm not sure to be honest. That would be something I'd search around on HIDPlanet for.

4300K only look "yellow" for the first 100 hours of use or so. Trust me, the higher light output is sooo worth it compared to POS 6000K and higher bulbs. Those look so ricer and ghey.

if you want pure white that's 5000k. this is plug n play this is one of the better deals i know of

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

4300k bulbs stay oem yellow, lol. I rocked them for long enough (months) and got tired of the white lines on the road not looking so white.

When you get rebased 4300k philips bulbs, then maybe they'll look a bit whiter but not when you have non-oem capsules.

Where are these aftermarket projectors coming from?

I was always under the impression that you can only achieve OEM like results using an OEM HID projector, such as those from an S2K or TSX.

i hope your right. I'll keep these bulbs in for a lil, and just changed the stock lens to some clearer ones, and if anything i'll switch over to 5000k bulbs
