TheVTECnician's crx build round 2. second wind
This is round 2 of my crx build. I had a thread before, but decided to do things a bit differently this time.
It will be a relatively slow build I think, because of other things going on. ( Trying to start my business, deciding on a school, etc)
I have to give a shout out to My wifey and crew DK (Desired Knowledge) and all the boys who have helped along the way!
Anyway I'll bring everybody up to speed. I've been through alot with this car. I bought it from my buddy joe as a bare shell and went from there. I'll spare the BORING rif raff and get on with it. pics will go in sequence up to where it's at now.

then a friend took this pic in his rearview mirror and got me thinking:

SO there it is. Now working on the engine bay, wiring, and body work, and then building the F .bomb

Thanks dudes.
Got some things for my new fuel setup. I will be running E85 (85% ethanol) on the F22. It will be high compression all motor.:
255 lph walbro pump, and some DSM 450cc injectors. got one extra. I might even get an extra inline fuel pump to help with it. I already have an aem rail, just need an adjustable FPR.

Got some things to overhaul my suspension. This is incomplete, But most of it's there. I know polyurethane bushings require some maintenance, but The car won't be driven enough for me to mind.

Got a GSR 1" BMC and brake booster.

looks great. I would of been happy with how it looked with the B. But what you did is awesome. lots of work in there.
I started to fab up some mounting brackets for the ECU and fusebox. After all is said and done, I will have to strip off all the paint and put filler over the welds. Not necessray, But I hate the way they look.

Got some lines done. That bottom one will be done different in the future, but it doesn't bother me too much.

ALso broke My climate control

Not like I needed it anyway I guess.

Nothing special, Just more brake lines.I figrued you guys would like a lot of pictures. I have to order more fittings and hardline to run the rear lines and two new lines to the brake master cylinder, since i upgraded.
Whattup Derek. have you considered running a 2000 si Brake Proportioning valve? they would sit more flush to the back unlike the DA ones.
why the change of pace from the H22 to the F22? im not familiar with this platform. that said, looking good.

Thanks
what's up man? I never thought of that. too late now I guess. It doesn't really bother me though honestly.
I have had the urge to build an F22a for a while now, and I recently came up on one in running condition for free. Also, I wouldn't mind H2B'ing mysedan. I also like the Idea of an All-motor single cam.

For HP, from 250-300whp. Not really sure what to expect, as this is my first engine build. As for torque, around 200 at the wheels. I still haven't decided on an intake manifold, not that my choices are varied, lol. I might go with itb's if funds permit.
I was origionally planning a monster engine build, but changed my mind in favor driveability. I love to drive my car and it's always driven to and from track events. No trailers unless it's really far away.
The plan now is to just bump compression, do some headwork, and get a good tune. I might even go with an f23 block. It will be a stock bore and stroke build with stock sleeves.

The Whole H2B setup is going into my daily. And honestly I think the F alone will make more power. The F22a head is superior to the H head. There's no reason for G23 because I'm building it anyway.
Love to see a fellow Crx owner doing big things.. Am also planning on doing a F2B swap in my 91 Si.. The more i research on my G23 swap the more i see people saying the F22A head is better then the H22. Can u share the reason why?? Any really proof that i can read, if its true am going to use the F22a head.
