Default 97 Honda Accord LX Auto-Tranny

Hi,

I have a 97 Honda Accord LX (auto-tranny) that slips when I shift to 4th gear. I shift to 3rd gear and it kicks in and drives well. The minute I shift to 4th gear, it just slips and makes that loud slipping sound. Also, the times before that it shifted in 4th and was driving over 30 mph, the minute I let go of the gas pedal, I would hear a loud slipping sound. The noise would stop the minute I put my foot on the gas pedal again.

About 3 weeks ago, I added 2 qtrs of basic transmission Fluid....

Please help cant afford a new tranny....Im on unemployment......

Did it slip before you added the basic tranny fluid? Use should only use Honda Genuine ATF.
