just wondering if anyone has had their oem 15's painted or powdercoated a different color? if so any pics would be nice, especially on a white one
White ITR - only color that looks really good is the OEM white wheel. Every other attempt looks like @ss. Polished and gunmetal is passable, black looks cheap/ghetto and everything else just looks like crap.
Yellow ITR - OEM Gunmetal is the best. Black still looks cheap/ghetto (although not as bad as it does on white), polished is decent and white makes the car look like a sunflower. Everything else, again, looks like @ss.
Black ITR - This one is a bit more difficult. OEM Gunmetal looks ok, OEM painted black (if done correctly), looks ok. Polished actually looks pretty good. White looks silly and all the rest still look like @ss.
Best bet is either polishing the OEM wheel or leaving it as-is. Anything else gives the car a hugely modified appearance and looks like some ricer went to walmart and got a can of Krylon.
Just take the wheels to a body shop with the OEM Champ. white color code and for about $200 they should have you fixed up.
You can either buy new centercaps or you can buy the red 'A' decals off ebay for the centercaps.

And white wheels on a white car, if not exactly the same color/shade, look really stupid.

sold it, not enough time to finish it how i wanted, i picked up an ek coupe and got rid of that yesterday , now i have a molested gsr
Sorry, I just get a little miffed when folks driving any flavor of Honda with a random ITR part on it comes in here asking all kinds of questions thinking that we know everything there is about ITR parts and what works on their car. I based my original response on original ITR colors and tried to be somewhat detailed. Now come to find out, you own none of the original ITR colors.
Maybe if someone searches in the future this thread will then be of use.
I've seen the OEM wheels painted just about every color throughout the years. Let me break it down (this is in regards to OEM wheels only--aftermarket is sometimes a different story):
White ITR - only color that looks really good is the OEM white wheel. Every other attempt looks like @ss. Polished and gunmetal is passable, black looks cheap/ghetto and everything else just looks like crap.

I lol'd at the sunflower comment! I hate ANY white wheel on a PY-R.

In that case, what's the point of our input? Your car is not an ITR and thus not CW, PY or FBP/NBP. I really doubt that someone showing you yellow wheels on their PY ITR will be of any help to you.

never stated that i owned a champ white itr....... so you ASSume something and then get all buthurt because you were wrong? i asked a simple question and so far 1tuffbb6 and .wtf are the only ones who have shown a picture of the oem wheels painted a different color
bump for more custom colored itr wheels
There is a Appearance and Cosmetic forum that can correctly answer your question. Maybe you can take your non ITR question and your poor attitude and go there now. Or better yet, SEARCH. This topic has been covered already.
And since this thread has nothing to do with ITR's. bring on the CATS.

how doesnt it have anything to do with itr, its itr directly related part that does not come on any other car from the factory, no poor attitude here except people assuming something

ya if they are asking motor related questions absolutely, what do you think that the itr forum is only for cars/parts that are currently on an itr, if so by your standards any person with a different part than stock should be posting in the hybrid forums
Im going to have to agree with Earl. He has ITR wheels, he wants to see different colors. Yes he could have searched, and maybe he did but didn't find enough color variations. From what I understand, he has a white Gsr with ITR wheels. Therefore seeing different color combos would help his situation. It doesn't matter if his car is true CW, any white will work. As far as asking in the ITR forum, where else are you going to see the most Oem Type R wheels? Just my thoughts, your all entitled to your own.
