Default HELP: Charcoal canister to valve cover?

Hey i need some advice/help with my charcoal canister hose. I believe the hose goes to the throttle body but there is no spot for a hose. I tried to tee it off to other vacuum hoses but it made my car idle high(between 1500 and 2k) So i plugged it into the valve cover nipple. It idles just fine now. Some people just put a mini breather/filter on the valve cover nipple. Im curious as to IF this is ok to connect the charcoal canister to that nipple on the valve cover? Please can anyone help me?

it's supposed to go on the throttle body. that engine was replaced or the throttle body was replaced. that is NOT the place to plumb the charcoal canister into.

you might as well just leave it open..or swap out the throttle body to the correct year/model for that car.

When he says it's supposed to go to the TB, he means the line from the canister. The valve cover line goes to the intake. I can't see where that line from the top of the intake manifold plenum is going but I can see that it's not going to the PCV valve like it should.

Ya the canister was just plugged off so it kept throwing a P0441 code-so thats why i started researching. I have a b20b swapped in my 97 civic. I just put that breather filter back on that valve cover nipple cause theres no hole for that hose on my carbon fiber intake. It just has the air flow sensor hole or w.e. Ya its plugged into the PCV valve i t00k better pics so u can see. So i guess i just have to get another TB cause theres no spot on mine for that hose from the canister

You should have a nipple on the back side of the manifold near the brake booster. You should also have a purge solenoid too(Which is attached to the back of the manifold).

The line in question goes from the cannister to the purge solenoid, then the other nipple on the solenoid goes to the manifold.

You can leave it disconnected as long as you have the purge solenoid hooked up electrically. This is what is giving you your code.

you're missing a purge valve.
