I was thinking of buying a pre-made 2.5" exhaust made at Kteller for my 93 Civic hatch or the Skunk2 Megapower R exhaust which is 2.5" but then they came out with the Megapower RR exhaust which is 3":

3" isnt overkill....
yes 2.5" would be fine but with 3" he will gain some power from it. if hes doing a new exhaust system may as well spend the extra few bucks for easy cheap power.

finally someone else chimes in about this.Go 3in without a doubt with a nice 24" resonator and a straight through muffler from vibrant/maganflow/ES and you'll be good
that's actually incorrect.. we have worked with them before and will if needed again in the future, there isnt that many mandrel benders to go around, many shop do work together but there is actually a difference and we offer items you can not find there or any where else, since they are only available from us.

Thanks to all that replied - I will be going 3" but can't decide between the VRS kit of the new Skunk2 MegaPower RR kit:

I always buy from them now. I have had a couple of extremely irritating customer service issues with kteller the last time I ordered from them and have been very happy with VRS.

I contacted VRS on their tubing kit for the Civic and found out it's universal so I'll have to have it cut to lenght at the muffler shop and also have the resonator and muffler welded for my hatch which is obviously shorter than the coupe.
I'm woindering if the extra cost of the muffler shop along with the cost of the tubing kit will put me near the cost of the Skunk2 RR which is basically bolt-on...

If you have a Mig and a chop saw, its really easy to put together. Also, I think the VRS kits come with slip fittings and clamps.
the vrs kit will only need to be cut for adding in the resonator, other than that its weld/clamp up. It has slip fit joints that can be clamped. They also have hatch specific systems so that should not be a problem
