Default What a beautiful day in Cali

Just finished installing my exhaust, and got pics of the 30 minutes of sunlight I've seen all day. I'm open to any opinions

Should have fixed that dented quarter panel first.

besides the dented quarter panel, looks like a pretty clean slate to work off of. imo ditch the front lip, looks fugly, especially on the 96-98 front end

I would have done the dent first, but it wasn't my top priority when I first got the car. When I got it, it needed the headlights (really cheap eBay, started fogging) and the exhaust (bad leak.) I have about ~600 in it right now, so it's much better than when I got it. Rims are most likely next on my list, but I'm not entirely sure yet.

i dont care how much money you put into it.
whenever people look at the car, the first thing they are gonna see is that dent.
fix it, you'll be happier.

Opinions, let's see. I would start by getting rid of that awful lip, muffler, and rear visor. They just don't look good in any way. I would also fix that dent before I got wheels. But if you're dead set on getting wheels, you should try to get some Si's or blades for cheap so you wont have to roll around on stockies. And then with the rest of the money you could start saving up for the body work. Don't blow all your cash on wheels, cuz no matter how nice your wheels are they wont get rid of that huge dent.

wheels + lower height, then everything else will flow much better.. the visors and lip and such look goofy with that ride height and tiny 13" wheels

Looks great, but I agree with everyone saying to fix that quarter panel. No ones gonna notice your rims, instead everyone will look at your dent. I think the rear window watchamacallit looks a little excessive in my opinion.

other than that its a nice lookin car!

i think it looks fine. i have a cgp 98 and it has its share of blemishes. chipped clearcoat in the front bumper, little bubble of rust, and a dent from a trailer hitch on the rear bumper (dammit dad!!) and im rollin on steelies and stock height only because im saving for d2's. i dont want to have to deal with bodywork because i cant do any of it myself so i have to take it somewhere.

but yea, it looks fine. hows the exhaust sound? brand? i got mine from ebay, got an sr*s catback. i like how it sounds and i got it for a helluva deal

It looks like a good start man, but it does have a few more steps to go. Get to work!

There's not much I can do about the dent right now, considering I'm 14 with no income. But to sum this all up, if I took off the front lip and lowered it more (I was going to today, but ran out of time), it would look better? As far as rims, I'm sticking with getting Si's, I just don't have the cash for them yet.

So-
-Take off the front lip
-Lower it more
-And do you guys think it would look better or worse with 99-00 tail lights?

Thanks!

yea, lower it (even if its just on springs) take off the lip.

as for the tails, i red'd out my 96-98 tails and left the reverse white and i like the way it looks. just go to autozone and buy red metalcast paint. (duplicolor i think?)

if you have access to a heat gun....

heat up the dent and pop it out using one of those suction cups they use for... popping dents out! or if you're real cheap take the interior panels out of the back and push it out with your hands

u can even try to use air in a can
