buddy club spec 2 only available for type r?

buddy club spec 2 only available for type r?
im tryin to find a cta back spec 2 system for my 96 ls but can only find the spec 2 for the type r. i know there is a difference, is it the way the flange is turned for the catalytic converter that makes the difference?
