hey guys I got a b20b in my 89 si hatch , the car started overheating , the heat is barley there. . I tried bleeding the system , didnt get any air bubbles. . I let the car idle and the heat started to work. . . as soon as I drove off the needle went right up to hot and there was no heat what so ever. any ideas?? Im thinking thermostat. . problem is whoever had the car before me stripped the one thermostat housing bolt. . .

If your top hose is warm/hot and your bottom hose is cold then it's the thermostat. It's stuck close so water is not circulating.

Ok-first change your thermostat and ensure ALL the air bubbles are out, then make sure your coolant is topped off and you should be good. Best of luck!!!
Either thermostat or water pump, a head gasket would be a distant 3rd.
Thermostats are cheap enough, just replace it, Heli-Coil the stripped bolt hole.
