hey old schoolers... my buddy has been workin on a 1989 zc swap into a 1987 crx for about a week now and he has the motor in the car but needs to know what to do about the chassis harness not matching up to the motor harness. hes has the computer from the donor car and the motor harness and just got the chassis harness yesterday. so i guess what im askin is does he have to remove the crx harness from the car and put the integra one in? this would invole removing the dash and stuff right? any help would be greatly appriciated!
the motor is the D16a1 ZC...

 

is the CRX EFI to begin with or carbed?

 

it had a 12 valve EFI in it before... the CRX is the SI trim level.

 

most of all the wiring is there, you'll just have to change out to electronic ignition advance really instead of vaccuum. or switch to an 86-87 distributor.

 

where is the igintion advance relay? and would we use a integra or civic distributor? and it that it for the wiring? is that why we have no spark?
