If you don't have a lot of money then look for a D16Z6 swap. They can be built to be decent, but to get a lot of power from them all motor is going to be an expensive road to travel. Your much better off to boost it if you want Hp/$$$... If you have a little more money, look at the B series. A B16A swap can be had for a reasonable price and will give you a better building platform then the single cam will. If you have even more money, search for a B18C1. GSR engines offer displacement over the single cams and even the B16 which both lack torque. Then again, what Honda 4 cylidner really doesn't lack torque?

lol I wouldn't use them online stores. go to a local junk yard. you'd be surprised how much good stuff you'll find there and for way cheaper. you just gotta be half decent at working with cars or know someone who does

2.4L+ Honda motors have plenty of torque for a Civic Hatch

Throw in an F20B -- they are only about 800-1000 and will make more power than any Factory B series apples to apples..plus you will have the potential for much more power should you really dig in...stock is 200hp with the potential to build a 2.3-2.4L motor out of it.

B series is sort of a waste unless you want 135-160whp or so....which most guys want more and some wayyy more...

H2B swap --- worth every penny and then some
