Hey guys/gals I just bought a 2001 Honda Accord 2 door 4cyl . Im starting of in the engine bay with this one. I want to stiffen up things in there and besided the mounts im trying to figure out where the best place to hook up an engine damper would be. If anyone with the same engine has one hooked up a picture would help me out. I had one in my last car and it works really well.

 

wouldnt it be best to mount next to the front dog bone!? not sure on the 01's?

 

They're commonly mounted on top of the pwr steering adjusting bolt and driverside front strut tower bolt. Its somewhere around there. Just gotta play around with it.

 

Ya, now to figure out if any of the pre fabbed kits out there would come close to fitting on the accord or do I have to get brackets made..

 

If you buy from a brand like NRG, it should come with everything needed to make it work.

 

Well I got the damper and a nice big sheet of thick metal, Im going to make my own brackets up like I did with my integra back in the day. I will post pics when im done.. should be this week I hope.

 

the nrg one comes with two brackets to line everything up. on the 94-97's it mounts from the power steering adjusting bolt like nus said and the control arm bolt before the strut bolts. best bet is to contact the manufacturers.
