Default Non-Typical H22A Swap Help

I am building a tube chassis very similar to a Polaris RZR and have been searching for an ideal engine to put in it and I am leaning heavily towards a H22a Euro-R that is on Ebay. I have been looking into a custom harness and have a few questions.

I have been told that I will need to run a Internal Coil Distributor, that the IAB and EGR circuit will not be wired and that I will need to run a Chipped ECU.

I want to keep this engine as simple as possible no fancy extra control boxes or high end tuning just a reliable engine. I also need to make it water proof cause its probably going to see some deep water so I also want it stripped down to its bare essentails to make it a clean install without a million hoses and tubes that can leak.

What ECU should I run?
Who can tune it to run with the items above removed?
What extra items can be removed to clean it up a bit?

Thanks for you help!

I know this really doesn't fall into the normal use for these engines, I have always been a fan of the Small block chevy and have taken them to all extremes. I have just begun exploring the possibilities of the 4 cyl and I am amazed at what can be done with these engines. Lend a fellow gearhead a hand here because I have read a million posts on how to make my mom's car go faster and I can't get the answers I need to move on with my project.

Euro Rs do not have IABs, but have EGRs. If you get a chipped civic/integra ECU, it does not look for a EGR so you do not need it.

Any chipped p28, P72, P30 or converted vtec ecu.

Who as in a tuner? or as in a system?

you can remove 02 sensor, purge control, Vtec pressure swtich (if the euroR has it).

I contacted Rywire about making a custom harness for it, they gave me the information I listed above. So basically I need the harness, P28 ECU, a chip for it and somebody to tune it.

The Euro-r has no IAB's so that is simple, Plug the EGR, Remove Purge valve because i will be running a fuel cell and I assume the Vtec psi switch is just s low oil psi switch to keep the Vtec from engaging so that can go.

I would assume the O2 would be good to keep cause it will allow the engine to correct the A/F ratio.

Once this is gathered up I am still going to need someone to write a tune file for it, or will the P28 have the tune on it and the chip will just bypass the ECU looking for the removed items?

This seems simple enough, I don't want to spend weeks trying to tune the engine as I have in the past with my big motors... Thanks for the response so far.

Stock 02 is only good for 14.7. It is narrowband. So it is not really needed.

Yes, if you chip it, you can remove those. You just need a software to do it. Neptune Demon works great and is easy to set up a base map. more info here: http://www.hrtuning.com/pages/category/neptune-rtp

Thanks for you help, I think that gives me all the info I need to know that I can get the engine running and that is a load off my mind.

Does anybody else make custom harnesses for this engine?

Rywire can. They are pretty simple to make if you have the right info.
