Default Coilover opinions needed

Okay I'm not going to lie, I am a complete noob when it comes to suspension. As far as the brands to stay away from and such. I have a 97 civic lx with the stock suspension thats nearing 200k miles and its starting to show its age. I wanted to just go with a coilover kit and I started looking at the tein basic set up, but the price is a little steep and they can only be height adjusted. So I moved onto ksports which can be height adjusted and stiffness? adjusted, but I read some bad things about ksports that I'll sum up in one word..."Taiwan". And I can't find any specs on the ksports as far as how far they will drop the car. So that kind of turned me off of those, which brought me to the next option. Tokico. To be honest...I didn't stay with this option for long. Now I'm looking at koni yellows/gc, however those are a little pricey as well. And the ease of installation isn't as simple from what I've read. So that brings me back to the ksports and their quality. If anyone with the base ksport coilovers reads this pllllease chime in, I'd really like to hear/see something about these. Any other advice/options would be greatly appreicated.
Basicly I'm new to this, I don't want to get in over my head mechanicly and finacially.

Thanks.

You should check out Progress Competition 2 coilovers. You could get a set for $550-$575. I don't think there's probably a better coilover at that price point, but I'm still learning about these things. They are height adjustable from 1" to 3" drop and have multiple spring rates to choose from. The only disadvantage, if you believe it is one, is that they aren't damping adjustable.

Here's another option:

http://www.amrengineering.com/index.html

Everything here is custom built, so it takes some time. Lots of Honda applications, and the price is much better than the Tien's, most about $1450 complete.

As mentioned

Progress -525-575 range

PIC - 835
PIC -1165
Koni/GC $800ish

All of these brand are good quality it just depends what your needs are.

I got a buddy running D2's, a really old set of D2's, and I really do like how they ride. Those and Tein are the two most comfortable coilover setups I know of.
