Default My 99 dx hatch

Picked up this 99 hatch from a buddy of mine a couple weeks ago. Loving it so far, just missing the torque from my integra.

Anyways, here's some info and pics. Let me know what you think.

1999 Civic DX hatchback
D16Y8 Swap w/OEM LSD Tranny
Zex Cam
Password JDM Carbon Fiber Intake
Header
Custom Exhaust (hopefully picking up Mugen twin-loop axle-back here shortly)
Skunk2 coilovers with Tokico 5-way adjustable shocks
4-Wheel Disc brake conversion
Front and Rear strut bars
GSR front clothe seats
EX gauge cluster
Rota Track R wheels
and a few other things I'm sure I'm not remebering

I'll try to get some "quality" pictures of it here soon. Just have to wait for the weather to quit being total ***.

Thanks guys! And yeah, I'd love to have some real Sprints or some other kind of wheels, but I like these for now. Plus, with student loans/personal loans/and so much other stuff on my plate they will have to wait.

As I mentioned, should be picking up a Mugen Twin-Loop Axle back in the next week or so. Have a buddy in Lexington holding onto it for me. Also, hope to get some window visors and CTR rear lip as soon as I get Christmas paid off.

Dude dont even worry about it, your wheels look great as is. Glad to hear youre putting your loans before some wheels that will make you e-cool. If I were you id get some lug nuts to make your wheels "pop". 'Na mean?

Glad there's other logical people on HT! haha

And yeah, I know what you mean about the lug nuts. It has some nice black ones on there right now, but I've toy'd the idea of getting blue ones. Although, being a Louisville Cardinals fan and NOT a UK fan... might have to go with a different color

Also, been looking into some solid white center caps for my wheels. I have the Rota ones, but I honestly think they look rediculous. Probably going to pick up the white ones off ebay here soon.

Consider a broadway rear view mirror and a red stitched typr r shift boot. Both around 20 bucks and it would add some jdm spice. Also maybe throw in a squash air spencer, so delicious. But I have to say I LOVE the exterior!

Thought I was the only one on here who felt that way. Car is a priority, but not before school. Goodluck with the new ride.

Thanks! And, to be completely honest, these pics were taken about a week before I picked it up. The weather has been horrible out here for a while. Anyways, what I was getting at is that I put my old Broadway mirror in there already. Love those things... plus, with the Spoon style mirrors, the Broadway is my main mirror. Those Spoon knock-offs are pretty damn worthless IMHO.

And hopefully I'll get a couple other little things added here soon. Since I just got the car I'm wanting to do all kinds of thing, just have to try and keep my priorities in line!

haha yeah it happens, im unemployed and going to school full time.

YOu have Muteki short ones?? Ehh those are whatevers. Get some blue Blox or NRG long ones, theyll look nice. If you dont what white and blue then get some dark gray or black ones?? haah.

White center caps will look good, just spray your white ones!

You dont like the visibility of your Spoon mirrors?? I think visibility is alright, doesnt compare to OEM but its not bad.

and if you want some advice about fixing up your car, take it nice and slow. Trust me man, when I got my EK hatch I got the mod bug and it hit me hard, I wish I wouldve slowed down and gotten some decent parts. I already had my eBay intake and side markers before I even purchased the car. -_-

Haha, thanks for the advice. As far as the center caps go, the one's I'm looking at are flush with the center of the wheel, unlike the Rota stock ones that buldge out an inch. I think they'll end up looking really good.

And yeah, I've put together 4 Integras in the past, it's just a different feeling being in a small civic hatch. I have ideas, but for the most part I'm sticking to the things I know wont break the bank. Plus, now that I'm 25, I don't really care that much if I have the mad-tyte-JDM whatever for my car. I just want it to look good, sound good, and drive good... in my own vision. Of course, it always is easier if others agree, it's just not my intentions to please anyone but myself with this one, first and for most.

Thanks again for the comments, guys! I'll try to keep this thread updated when I start picking things up.

Looks great. Love that color combo.

And Even though legit wheels would be better, budget does not always allow it. I like how it sits with the track Rs.
