Has anyone ever registered a JDM vehicle?
I have found a jdm crx that I am interested in. Has anyone registered a jdm vehicle or know where jdm registration info is? I live in Oklahoma so there are no emissions requirements here. Thanks
dont matter about emissions cant technically register it... it isnt up to us safety specs for one and its illegal to import it without proper credentials really....find out if its on the up and up and u maybe able to register it as a show car and pay 6k in insurance a year
get it over here
then transplant ur VIN numbers from cars..... maybe it wont work withthe numbers under the hood.. but still see if u can register it.... i know for fact that a RHD car its not ilegal....... specially a CRX wich itsnt that big of a diff on the safety side, comparing them to the USDM counterpath... we all know the differences, and its just xterior **** and stuff like that..... i cant think anything that might not let u pass....

Thanks for all of the responses. I have seen a few JDM cars for sale on this site and also when I was in Las Vegas. Does anybody else know a way to register the car? I would try the vin swap but if I get caught I don't have a car to drive here. Please keep the responses coming. Thanks

Yeah you can register JDM cars with the DMV. You have the import tax, luxury tax, US customs tax, vehicle pre-inspection fee, registration app. fee, title fee, processing fee, and a in vehicle driving test. So yeah go buy one. Also check out http://www.bestjapancar.com They sell JDM cars and export them to the US/Canada, I have been drooling on that site for the past two years, I have seen so many Honda/Nissan/Subaru/Mitsubishi/Toyota/Mazda They update the site about every 1-2 weeks.
thing is no EF willnot pass a crash test so its not possible to get it registered legally
