Hey is it normal to have bronzish metallic oil on the spark plug thread when you pull it out of the motor?

 

Oh yea, I took out the plugs to do a compression test, numbers were 230,225,225,225... there wasn't oil on the cylinder side of the plug just on the thread, but it was a decent amount

 

oil leaking through the seals where spark plug is?

 

It may be copper anti-sieze on the threads. Which is a good thing if it's there in the proper amount.

 

ah, didn't think about that... I didn't see any oil leaks near the seals, would that be right where the sparkplug wire sits? I have a small one near the engine block id... the area always seems somewhat damp with oil. I'm gonna try and do a leakdown test on it this weekend or next. Just trying to research proper methods and diagnosing what I find out. Thanks for the advice
