SPRING RATES
i have a 97 civic coupe. im buying gc/koni's. my car is a daily driver, and i was wondering what spring rates i should get. they thmotorsports recommented 350 in the front and 380 in the rear. i always saw in here the softer rates go in the back. he told me the stiffer ones do so the car can turn better. WHAT RATES SHOULD I GET?? i plan on droppin my car a finger cap between tire and fender maybe alil lower.
Daily driver that won't see track time?
400 - 500 front
300 - 400 rear
The rear rate will determine more of the ride quality. Yes, stiffer in the rear can promote oversteer (or reduce understeer really), but that isn't something a street car needs (or even wants in many circumstances).
Go on the stiffer end if you plan to lower to flushed tires. Softer if you'll stay higher than that.
