Default Need Help '94 Accord

Just bought a 1994 accord 2.2 vtec automatic. The transmission went out so I replaced it with a used one. Everything seems to be working fine, just had 2 question.

1) When I'm full throttle it shifts at 4500 rpm. Is that normal? I hear the vtec kick in at about 4100-4200 then shifts at 4500-4600. I figured i'd get more than 300 rpms of vtec. I'm new to the import world so any help would be great, thanks.

2) When I first take off everythings fine but after a few minutes the green indicater light around the D4 starts to flash. After I keep driving for a while the check engine light turns on. Any ideas, could this have anything to do with my first question, Thanks Guys

The problems could be related, however, you wont know unless you get that code checked. Find out what the code means, and all your questions will be answered. As for the shifting at 4500. Do you mean you hit V-Tec at 4500 or the car literally shifts gears at 4500. My accord goes all the way to about 6000 before it shifts. It's all stock as well

When full throttle it shifts at 4500 rpm's every gear. Vtec kicks in around 4100. Any ideas?
