Default want to purchase a wideband O2 but need help on what kind

Okay heres the story. Ive got a hold of these cheap air fuel ratio gauge and decide to get a wideband O2. The thing is im not reall too sure what to get. Its going to for a obd2 98 civic which is a 4 wire o2, do they make 4 wire o2 sensors and what will I need to make my air fuel gauge run right?

wideband o2 is 5 wire. 4 wire would be a narrowband. your cheap afr gauge probably is for a narrowband. so just splice it into your stock sensor wiring.

narrowband gauge is nothing more than blinking lights though. nothing useful from it.

Thats what I exactly did spliced it to my stock O2, but now I want to go the right way and looking for the right parts yeah. So you mean if I get a wideband O2 it has to be the whole set O2 sensor and the gauge and im not able to use my chap auto meter gauge any longer.

i suggest plx products, sm-afr w/ gauge comes to mind.

are you going to be using the wideband to repalce your current front o2 sensor or are you going to run both? is the car tuned?

I was planning to run both but then I gotta get another hole for another O2 on these headers. The car is not tuned yet thats why im doing all thhese things becasue parts are going to be coming in the mail and aimma put all of it at once then get it tuned.
