hi everyone. recently, some jerk broke into my crx and stole my stereo (not to mention upwards of 140 CDs) and he managed to also take the part that the cd player rests in. i don't know what its called and i need the name for insurance reasons. when i look in there now, i can see all the way to the floor.. what should be in there? hah. any links with lists (or pictures!) would be really helpful.

the metal head unit cage/sleeve?

or are you talking about the mounting kit?

or do you mean the center console on the car?

your insurance company doesn't send out an adjuster or someone to look at and estimate the damage?

 

not the mounting kit. the thing that the mounting kit latches onto, the actual part of the car. the console is still there. in fact, the theif was really good and didn't even scratch it up.

 

I still think its called a console.. is it #5 in the pic? just show this to your agent.. it has prices too and what the parts called...
