Aight, i wanna know all you can tell me about driving a crx in the winter. What should i do/get for the car in order for it to stay in good shape and not have the winter weather eat away at it? Also, should i drive it at all? Will it ruin any kind of body kit i have on the car? Is there any kinda of stuff i can spray under or on the car to prevent rusting, or wearing away of the paint by salt? Thank you.
i would say spray it off when you get it home. i wouldn't drive it honestly for the best protection, just put it away and get a winter beater. that is what i did
I see that you live in Cali so I'm not sure how much snow you get. But out here on the East coast they use salt when it snows and that stuff sucks.
So I run my car through the car wash very often when it snows because you don't want that salt to sit on the paint. Never go with the highest price wash it usually has the wax, which can trap dirt onto the surface of your car. Just go with the regular old wash and try to find one that includes the underbody spray. I also make sure that there is a good coat of wax on the car before winter.
If your driving on snow/ice you have to be careful it is very easy to loose control sliding on the snow or ice and smash into the curb. So make sure that your runnen on your steelies and not your 17"s.

Actually due to reasons, i had to move back to the east coast, and im having my car shipped. Driving your car in the winter, did you ever get any rust or what not? Would my car be ok if i washed it like everyday and then dryed it with a towel and kept it in my garage or what not? Thank you.
I wouldn't do it too much. Just when they lay down that salt. If you already have rust then it can get worse but if your body is rust free now then you shouldn't have a problem. Keeping it in the garage will definatly help ALOT I wish that I had a garage.

Awsome awsome. I dont have rust, but is there any kind of undercoating i should spray on the bottom? Also if its really low is that a problem too.. should i get coilovers and make it a little higher? Thank you.
The cars came with an underbody protective coating, BUT! you do want to keep the salt from sitting on there. That is why I run mine through the car wash.
I'm not sure how low your front end is but one of my friends had a teg GSR and the front end was really low. One time when we had like 4-5 inches of snow he was trying to leave his neighborhood (Hadn't been plowed yet) that is until he tried to leave. His front bumper acted like the plow and he ended up getting stuck.

::Mental note, dont become the snow plow:: lol that would bee to hard to do, sometimes we will get 3 feet of snow in one night, that happend alot up here.. christ.. lol ill just get some coilovers and put it up a bit. Its not TOO low, but its LOW. So pretty much if i just wash it and ****, and take good care of it, nothing will happen to it? What if i dont have a garage to store it in? I think ill just pay my dad to take his porsche outta the garage and store it somewhere.. haha then i can use the garage.. btw where u from?

Ok we got our first big snow fall of the year here in NY. I'm still using my K1's with Kumho 712's 195/50-15. I had ZERO traction on the way to work although it was better coming home since the roads were plowed.
Are any of you leaving your rims on and getting winter tires for them? Or should I just put the 13" hubcap/wheels back on my DX? Naturally, I'd buy some 13" winter tires.
So my question is should I get winter tires for my K1's or my 13" stock wheels?
