Is it just my battery or??
Hey guys,
Well i have this problem, and im hoping its my battery. My car has been down and has been sitting outside for two weeks. Weathers been pretty cold (20-40's) and when i went to start my car my battery was dead. I think this is normal in this type of condition. So i charged it at home with my brothers mini charger, and the readings at first said like 10 volts. So after charging on a slow setting overnight it went up to like 12 volts, so i figured its good enough to start up the car, so i put it back in. I then attempt to start my car and there is no turn over or nothing, just a click kinda. I checked the battery and the volts went back down to 10ish?? I then jump start my car, and leave it on for a good 10 minutes. I then turned off my car and attempt to start up again to see if my battery was charged but i ran into the same problem. When i honked, it was weak and my lights were dim. Is it my battery or is there something else that may cause this shortage? The battery charger/reader said my alternator was still good. I drive a stock 2000 integra LS if that helps any.
Thanks guys!

There is barley any corrosion on the battery. This is the first time this has happened, when i took my car home from the shop (before it sat outside for two weeks) it started and ran just fine.. Im currently "reconditioning" the battery, and will start charging it tomorrow. If that doesn't help i think im just going to go for a new battery.. any other ideas?
Check all that other stuff but it's probably the battery.
If you bought the battery in the past three years, it may have a full warranty remaining on it. If it's been longer than that, it may still have a prorated portion of the warranty, but you would need to get the same one.
When I was shopping around for batteries a couple of years ago, I found the cheapest was the Kirkland-branded battery sold at Costco and manufactured by Johnson Controls. It comes with a 36/100 month warranty. At the time it was selling for $37, but I believe the price now is around $50.

sounds like battery to me! if you read ten volts off the battery each time, it's definitely that. especially in the cold... And the fact you could jump it okay sounds like everything else is alright
