Just thought I would share some great service I just received. Back in 07 I purchased a stage 4 clutch for my GSR. I put 1000 miles on it till the end of 08 with a stock motor and it drove great. From the begining of 09 till the end of 09 my car was down getting everything redone and it just sat. Built motor went in this last December and that same clutch with only 1000 miles would not hold the power it is supposed to. The clutch was now way past warranty by 2 years, but since it was virtually brand new, I thought the heck with it and i will send it in to get it looked at. Competition Clutch received my clutch and tottaly agreed that the clutch still looked brand new, and after testing they concluded that my clutch was no good. Because my warranty was up, they really did not have to help me out, but instead they sent me out a brand new Stage 5 clutch for free, and now my car is back on the road. Thankyou Competition Clutch!!!

 

Thats good to hear! Im on the market for a clutch for my 01 GSR with a fully built head and was looking at competition clutches. How do you like it BTW? I was thinking of purchasing the stage 2 clutch and flywheel kit.

does a clutch go bad over time or something?

 

The answer is no. It was just a faulty clutch is all and they took care of it.

 

did you buy directly from them or a distributor?

It was through Xenocron. They could not help out because it was out of warranty, but thats when Dan from Competition Clutch stepped up and got me taken care of.
