Alright I just swapped on a d16a6 head and mpfi conversion onto my dx.....runs pretty good except for:

Harsh valve tapping
it overheats after I drive it about 10-15 min......or unless I get on it....cools down if you turn on the heater....
It smokes alot..not really at idle but it blows a good amount when you shift and even some just normal driving.....


Okay the smoke is def. light black-blueish so im burning oil thats a for sure.....why its overheating im not sure...ive got plenty of coolant and water in the system and my fan works fine...

would a bad headgasket cause overheating??? I put on a new headgasket better then OEM..well the expensive honda one...and brand new bolts nothings leaking and my exhaust is not white smoke or wet at all......

I think it could be the thermostat........could it smoke bad due to vavles being way off...???

ive got about a quart of oil OVER in the engine right now due to my dumb friend who accidently put it in thinking I needed more...would that cause it to overheat or burn oil alot more then usual?
