Default EG Power to Manual Steering (Subframe swap info)

I want to get rid of the powersteering on my EG hatch but I'd prefer NOT to loop the system just because it just seems rigged up IMO. My del Sol that is donating is LS swap and whatnot has factory manual steering, I am aware the racks are different sizes and the subframe would need to be swapped, are there any Walk throughs on this or something I could use as a guide? Help appreciated.

the subframe is bolt in and out. what do you anticipate being difficult or needing help on?

Well I guess I am over estimating the difficulty of it, I just went out and looked at the subframes and it seems pretty simple. The motor will be out while I am doing all this. So pretty much just unbolt the upper control arms and subframe bolts to the car and its out, oh and brake lines too lol. Bolt **** back up and bleed brakes and its done?

what does the steering rack or subframe have to do with the brake lines?

I'd be swapping out the complete setup, subframe, brakes, rack, suspension.

You dont need to unbolt your brake lines. Leave the rack on the crossmember.Un do your lcas, tie rods, and undo the 4 bolts holding the crossmember to the body. Thats it.

OH okay i get what your saying now. Leave the brakes, upper control arms, shocks and all that attached to the knuckle is the tie rod and LCA. Remove that and the subframe bolts and its out?, Guess thatll work out good cuz the brakes and ball joints are better shape on my hatch haha. Throw some new tie rods on the manual rack and its perfect.
