JUN Products and is it worth it?
I have a 1998 Honda Prelude SH. I ahve been told repeatedly that I cannot turbo charge it. SO, I have decided to go N/A, but I want something different and unique. JUN is my answer, but I need some input from you fello luders, is 12.3:1 compression daily driveable, can I use 92 octane (here in Georgia), and can still enjoy the Vtec cross over and low end response? Thanks in advnace!
Alright, this is what I am reading about in mag's and else where, yu CAN turbo an SH but it cannot be over 12psi. I have currently 105k miles and the unit is great except for some sincro problems in 5th. I keep up my oil changes, check up's, etc. My main concern is will the 12.3:1 comp be daily driveable, if not why? I contacted R&D dyno and they said yes but engine life will shorten. JUN claims no such thing with there set up and proper maint. So if any of you guys have a turbo or N/A SH, PLEEEEEEEAAAAAASSSSEEE let me know of any problems. (By the way, what about JRSC or will I run into the same problem?) I really do not want to get rid of these camshafts, but at the same time I would like a fast reliable, quick ride. Enough power to beat fixed up imports and some domestics!

Please read my post again 12.3 is WAY to high for pump gas 11.5 max is your best bet due to our crappy gas. That is however unless you want to run 100 octane all the time.
Thanks again KCHybrid, I understand what you mean. Mark at JUN told me it would be fine to run 93 octane (we have it here in GA), but I think he's trying to sell me awesome products (but without a warranty unfortunately). What do you think about a JRSC? Thanks!
few friends run 12:1 compression and a tad above on 93 octane. in the ny/nj area. sometimes filling up with 94 sunoco ultra. no problems at all. runs fine.
