Default Dropping wieght on a 5th gen!

I'm looking for some good ways to drop significant wieght on a 5th gen lude. I know that the hood is probaly your best bet, but what others will help. I also already replaced the stock exhaust with a Super racing medallion!

Use a lightweight battery like a Dyna Batt or a motorcycle battery - saves about 25lbs. Lightweight 15" wheels and tires can save you another 25-40lbs where it really counts. All the crap in the trunk (spare, jack, tools, spare cover) is 30lbs or so... That's nearly 100lbs right there.

how far are you willing to go? The rear seats fall out with a mere two bolts and two pull clips. Then you can talk about ditching anything else you don't care about. Passenger seat, radio, air conditioner etc etc

With everything they've mentioned, you MIGHT shave a little over a 1/10 second on your quarter time. IMO just remove everything from the trunk, and leave the interior the way it is. Then you can say your car "runs so and so time" as is, not stripped bare with no passenger room

With some decent light weight wheels, the lightened battery and hood, and everything from the front seats back stripped I think the quarter mile time might drop a little more than that but I could be wrong.

I've heard, down the great vine, that for every hundred pounds you lose, you take about a 10th of second off your quarter mile---I could be wrong though, that's just what I heard from some people in the past.

Basic stuff like Aftermarket Exh, header and Intake drops some weight. A CF hood drops maybe 30 lbs. Gut the trunk and you get another 40lbs. After that you can replace it with smaller battery ~15lbs. From here you can get extreme and get racing seats and take AC out. Then strip out sound deadening material/tar. All audio equipment. Get light 15" wheels. After all said and done you take out about 200+lbs. You basically have an Integra with an H22a.

I shaved about 140 lbs off my car (weighed everything I took out) and I dropped about .18 seconds off my 1/4 ET
