Default all motor 84mm b16

I have a sleeved 84mm b16 block and i am thinking about using 12:1 or 12.5:1 compression pistons with eagle rods. I got a Dh-R port and polished head package with a Pr3 manifold thats port matched with a 70mm TB. Dh-r says this head can take 9500 rpms easily, I am not planning on going pass 9000. A friend of mine has sum brand new Sk2 tuner 3 cams i can get for a great price. I got aset of rmf replica headers that i will be using with this build. Do you guys think the Pr3 manifold will hurt my performance even though its port matched for my head, and if so what IM would you guys recommend. What kinda hp you think i can make with this build. Oh and i will be tuning on chrome any input would greatly be appreciated.

Mmmhh....Get prepaired?

I would sell the pr3 and get a victor X

Also, I would rev the **** out of it since it's still a b16 stroke, but that's just me. Search for people using those cams and check their results, but i would go with the pro since a lot of people are getting really good results.

I would go with a Performer X. It is still only a 1.7L. Get some bigger cams too, maybe S2 Pro1s.

I would like to bring one thing to mind here. It would be prudent of you to research the proper valve train that will pair with the cams. This will properly allow you to rev the motor, reliably, into the power band that those cams were meant to operate in. If you install these cams without an upgraded valve train you may not have issues for a while but you will always know that there is a weak point in the engine that "could" go at any time.

Dh-R??? Hmmm.. Did you search dh-r before you even bought that head? I recall dh-R as Dick Head Racing. My friend blew a 4k motor while tuning with a head that was done by dh-r. Valve dropped and kaboom!

since the block is already sleeved, you might as well run an LS crank and build a stroker B16A. If you can't figure out what parts to use by searching around, just ask how to do it.

300 is a ridiculous number. You should make a bit less than 200whp. Head work isn't really much more than something to bring out the benefit of the cams. I can appreciate that in and out and trying to increase the breathing of the car but if the stock B16 makes 160hp at 8250 (crank) it takes quite a bit of work to make it 200+whp.

to keep it simple, i would just go with a s2 pro series manifold and get it bored to match the tb.and with the right tuning this should easily make a good 210/220 whp..idk what sti over there is thinking with the 300whp not happening on a b16 buddy. good luck let us know your results..

Read the rules. There is no tolerance for "what should my car make" threads ok. You're telling the other guy go do some research when clearly you didn't do any. You created a thread "Would Should my setup make? (Horsepower)". So please stop being an idiot. Its funny how your guestimating someone else's hp when you can't do your own.

gonna tune tomorrow on a dynojet using chrome. im hoping for about 160whp? what do you guys think.
Haha... What an idiot.

this is a GREAT build if done correctly. the compression you are shooting for with that bore size is perfect because the dome wont interfere with the flame propagation. a PR3 intake manifold, no matter how much you port it, will sustain 9500 or even 9000 RPM. get the Victor X. you can easily make 200+ HP with this setup at 9000 RPM.

no offense, but its obvious to me that no one saw omniman's b16 video. it doesn't take a lot of work to produce great numbers from a b16.
