Lately my car been making loud thudd sounds when I'm on uneven road or just slightly bumpy streets. It sounds like my bushings are non existent and its just hard surface contacting hard surface in my suspension components. I put my car up and looked over everything, the only problem I found was my passenger side outer tie rod end boot thing is pretty damn busted. Id say close to completely gone ,making metal to metal contact surfaces possible. can this be the cause of the thudding sound. any other ideas? struts? springs? anything. my engine mounts are good btw
Well it sounds like you kinda answered your question already!
A lot of the time it is bushings. That boot or whatever you are describing could be contributing as well (or just on its own!). Replace it and see what happens.
I get the same kind of noises as well, but its my bushings (stiffer aftermarket suspension + 219,XXX miles = bushing destruction).
