We had our first ice racing weekend for the season. For those whom have never ice raced, it is by far the most fun racing I have ever done. I have always ran Blizzak's in the past but picked up a 91 Honda Civic SI this year and it came with a set of studded tires. I started out yesterday on rubber to get a feel for the car. Today, I threw the studs on the car. I have always enjoyed driving on rubber because I think it takes more skill...you screw up at all and your lap is crap. However, after experiencing the rush that the studs provide, I don't think I will be going back to rubber anytime soon

My first time out on studs, I ended up with FTD by .45 seconds today! I ran a lap that was 1min 32.75sec on a 1.5 mile course with top speeds of about 100mph at the end of a straight, flat footed through a mild chicane, ending in a 180 wide sweeper that was about 60mph. Yesterday, my FTD on rubber was 1min53sec. A BIG thank you to MFactory for the diff...very happy with the performance of it!
