Default B20 or B18c1

So I want to invest in a civic. The car would be a daily driver and I need it to be reliable. I want to stay N/A. I dont feel like I know enough to deal with problems a turbo or S/C can bring.
I'll keep the mods basic, as in intake, headers, exhaust and MAYBE cams.
I also want to get the car in the 13 sec 1/4 time. If thats possible?
Which of these would be most straight forward and easy to piece together as well as reliable.
A B20 with a B16 tranny....maybe B16 head swap later on.
OR
A B18C1?

Plus can I pull of an NA mid to high 13 sec time with both?

A regular b20 is probably cheaper, and u can piece together the vtec parts later, but it won't be very fast lol....

actually i have seen eg hatches run high 13 sec with a b20 and b16 tranny if you can get the b20z that would be a nice choice a b20z with the right bolt ons will make just about the same power with more tq as a gsr
