Default simple way to make your stock shifter a little shorter

Here's a simple way to make your stock accord or prelude Shifter a little shorter in hight (srry don't have pics)

1:take out the arm rest console
2:take out the Shifter **** and take out the black radio surround, brezle, console, black thingy or whatever it's called) remember to remove the harness from the hazard switch and clock
3:undo the bolts holding down the shifter. (you may want to undo the cables from the shifter also)
4: now take out the black bushings (theres one on top and one on bottom with a tube that goes threw them)
5: Have BOOTH bushings on top of the shifter, then bolt it down and attach the cables (if applicable)
6: Put everything else back

Your shifter will be a bit short. I discovered that by accident because originally when I did my 5speed swap I didn't know how to put the bushings in , so I had just put them on top. And every time I drive my uncles 95 Ex 5speed, I would always wonder why It seemed like his shifter was taller then mine. Then I relized it the other day when I was installing my prelude shifter.
Enjoy
