Post your single stage paint jobs!!
This was the first time I ever sprayed it and the first ENTIRE car I sprayed. I probably sprayed about 10 individual panels prior to this and I blended rear quarter panel damage on the EM2 in the background. It had some driver quarter damage just after the door. I blended that halfway into the driver door and halfway up the C pillar...that's base/clear though.
It's a GM 03 Metallic green. I was surprised by the quality once sprayed honestly, but it doesn't offer the "touch up" flexibility a base\clear offers when spraying the base. This car was a RUST monster and we probably only have 450.00 in the whole job...all metal rust repair with jams and all. Bodywork isn't perfect, and there were a few little dings I could've repaired that I didn't. We had two days before my bro left the state to get it done...it came out good though.

I'd have to look, I don't really remember to be honest. That was in the summer and I have since closed my shop (pictured). A lot of things are in storage now.
If you REALLY want to know, I can stop at my storage on my way home one day and take a look. It was Omni primer with another brand of paint, but stuff that was known to be compatible. It was pretty budget though. I recall all the paint, primer, hardners, filters, sticks and cups being like 238.00.
We used a typical semi-good quality filler (from Franks Auto parts) and did use fiberglass in two spots where the filler would've had to be over 1/16th thick.
Believe me, I'm no body/paint man...and I don't claim to be. I can spray something I guess, and do the body work I suppose but I don't claim to know what the f*ck I'm doing compared to someone that does this for a living or even a serious hobby. My shop focused on fab (avatar) but I had the space/equipment to paint so I did. No paying jobs though.
I basically went to the paint store and said, I want a single stage...something descent and I need everything necessary to paint the car. He handed me some urethane primer (I believe), hardner, and the paint, which I reduced with omni stuff. The trick to painting doesn't seem to be anything more than prep and good gun setup and of course a descent air supply. It's a lot easier than most people think in order to do an acceptable job.
Funny thing is, in the last picture you can see how I missed the bottom of the car...lol. In this pic the jams weren't done though, and we had enough time, so I pulled the car in, painted the jams and finished the bottom..haha. I had the car on jack stands, but couldn't see due to overspray in the air and poor lighting. I love flourescent, but hate halogens.
