Please Help - 1995 Accord Head Problems
okayy so i snapped my timing belt about a month ago because i was neglectiing changing it and unfortunately in doing so it bent some valves in the process. im not going to pay to get the head fixed so im just going to buy a new working head because it would be wayyyy cheaper for me.
Now my only question..would a 93 accord head to my 95 block work?. i understand all the obd lingo and how it works and i understand all the interchanging facts on other engines. like if need be you can mate a d15 whatever with a d16 whatever..for the most part and the b18 series and what not. but this is my first accord so with that said my first f series.
its the f22b1 2.2 vtec to be exact.
so pretty much all im asking is if i were to pull the head of a 93 f22 accord and put it on my 95 f22 would that work?
and would my 95 intake mani bolt up to that same 93 head, along with all the other things like the alternator bracket and alternator, would i need a different size timing belt, pretty much im trying to just figure out if everything were to bolt right up and be in working order like if i were to just swap another 95 head on there

Not a direct replacement. You would loose VTEC, therefore you would also require a non VTEC ECU. The exhaust manifolds also have a different port configuration. So you would require a new exhaust manifold/header as well.
Exhaust Port configuration,
F22B1 = 0-00-0
F22A* = 0-0-0-0
Exhaust Port configuration,
F22B1 = 0-00-0
F22A* = 0-0-0-0
