Bent subframe repair w/pics. Safe?
I hit a curb about a month ago and I have all the parts to fix it but the subframe is bent and I can't get hook up the LCA. I tried to bend it back as best as I could, but the left side (see pics) is still pushed back about a quarter inch. I can't think of anyway to pull out the frame besides putting it on a frame rack of couse, but I came up with another possible solution. I'm not sure if this is safe but tell me what you guys think. Instead of pulling out the frame, I figure I could drill a second hole (see pics) and weld up the original one. Also the hole wouldn't be in that exact spot, it will actually be moved up a little, if that matters. I could also fabricate a subframe brace for it but im not sure this is necessary or would even help support it. Do you think this would be safe? I can't think of any other way to fix besides replacing the subframe or taking it to a shop... which I don't have money for.
