Idea for good gas miliage on chipped p28, will it work?
Since my chipped ECU fried, I've been running a stock p28 on my B16 to limp around. It lost serious top end power (feul cutoff is at 7200 rpm
), but the miliage is increadible; 30mpg city and 40mpg highway. I've heard that the ECU has two seperate maps, one for each cam profile. When I chip this ECU, I was thinking of keeping the SOHC VTEC little cam map, and a B16A big cam map with x-over at 5K. It seems like if I can keep it below 5K, it would still get badass miliage. Any thoughts?
