Default Spec clutch

Hey what do you think of clutches made by a company called SPEC in the USA?? also are Mfactory stuff good?, like flywheels, final drives,?

Search!!!!! ....fyi, a friend had his spec clutch blow up and did quite a bit of damage (tranny, radiator, even block mounting damage). Not pretty. But, I can't judge the company on one failed unit. Also, this was in a road race car and not a street car.

Hi thanks I did search! I read up all I could on this forum and yahoo and google and just wanted to find out a bit more. Sorry to hear what happened to your friends car!
The clutch would just be for my daily driven ek9. only running a bit over stock power so nothing mega. I do the odd 1/4 drag and possibly gona track it!

If you are going to track the car, then don't go with anything too aggressive. It will generate too much heat on track. I have a ACT OEM type clutch in racecar. Honestly, see who has the best deal between all the standard brands ACT/SPEC/Exceed/etc and go with them. Good luck!
