Congrats on your new purchase. GS-Rs are great cars.

AEM CAI V2 and Apexi WS2 are good choices for intake and exhaust. There are lots of header choices so it's best to start with a price range.

1) Any new intake, there is no real technology behind a metal pipe and filter

2) Dc Headers

3) 2.5 " Ebay exhaust, stock muffler.

1) and 3) are good points, but the jury's been out on DC headers for some time and they are a waste of money IMO.

I personally have ebay headers and exhaust w/ a stock muffler and a schucks/kragen intake. Been working fine for 7 monthes, nice sound, not ricey and improved the power a little so its a win/win. Also being cost effect helps

Just make sure to get the 2.5" exhaust and a blox inlet to hook up to the catylitic converter.

I love DC, but they are pricey.. smog legal, though.. if that matters to you

3) is what im going to do to my LS.. itll look sleeper, and still have better flow.. im even going to waste 70 bucks, just to get some ebay headers and rock them (cause it will be funny as ****.. hahahahaha)..

for an intake, dont go spend hella money.. get a 3" pipe from auto zone, and stick a good K&N filter on the end.. boom.. intake

Ebay headers arn't bad at all, mine are holding up just fine. No cracks or unnormal wear, cost like $60-70 and couldnt be happier.

1.) RSR ex-mag exhaust
2.) The AEM v2 intake is nice, but ebay tubing with a nice filter works just as well

Yes, larger diameter of the inlet. Stock is only like a inch or so, where as a ebay one is like 1.4-1.7"

On the other hand OEM ITR headers are supposed to be pretty good and probably outperform the Ebay headers. Of course, there can be fitment issues with ITR.

Ebay headers are still good for very budget-minded builds. People also like Megan for super cheap headers.

I just upgrade the intake manifold, forget about the CAI, if you want to see a huge torque curve in ur gsr, get rid of that stock manifold, ITR headers are great purchases, get them port match to the head and you can almost make as much power as a TODA header for $1000 less. I stuck with the WS2 cat back since im not a big fan of obnoxiously loud cars and good power adder as well

The other advice is OK, but that ^^ is bad advice. A CAI is by now a well respected way of adding power and is arguably the best first step to take on any non-turbo build. The stock IM is more than adequate for 180+ whp builds and IM replacement is generally considered to be a last-step mod on an all-motor B18C1 build. Furthermore, where aftermarket 1 stage IMs add torque is on the high end. While good IMs can add a small amount torque throughout the powerband, most of what they do is to extend the powerband above 8000 and improve flow at very high engine speeds. A CAI is actually one of the few intake mods that will improve low end performance.

ouch way to kill my first post lol. imo i think cai are a big waste of money, yet im not much of an n/a guy so what would i know, i just know when i installed my IM it made a huge improvement in the powerband but take note i did upgrade the TB as well. i know people that spend days upon days tryin out new CAI and short rams and making their own and even if it makes 2hp more, thats great but not much, CAI are great for improvement but youll keep wanting more

they aren't pricey and will get handled by edelbrock in the smog legal category. the ceramic edelbrock uses is also much better. won't flake like the DC stuff. there is no reason to buy a DC header. they are an outdated testament to the year 2000

keep your stock manifold before you buy an ebay header.

Hey everyone! Thanks for the responses. I looked some stuff on eBay and saw that the prices were pretty cheap. Do those parts last long? I think with the exhause I'm gonna go with the world sports2 for headers will the itr ones fit in my gsr engine? How would I go abouts of getting a new intake manifold like the above poster said? Thanks again for talks replies! It's greatly appreciated. I'm an ex Nissan owner I had a 03 specv but I wrecked it. So now my love now is the gsr!

aem v2 cai, if you're willing to spend the money, id find like a tri-y replica header, if not, stick with the ITR or ebay, and then exhaust is dependent on what kinda sound u want. how loud u want it and of course if u dont care, you just want power. bc you're talkin with or without a cat at that point, granted you can in your state. and then straight through designs or something with an actual muffler. and of course like stated earlier, it just depends on how much money u wanna spend.

For the cai I'm going with the v2. With the headers is there a *** differnce between the tri replica and the itr headers? Now for te exhaust I hear the world sports2 is a good buy I'm looking more for a clean sound. Now with the eBay exhaust I just don't know how the sound will be and the performance. Is there a specific type the sell on eBay that's recommended? For the exhaust I'm looking to spend like 800. I just feel iffy about buying cheap things for my car. Never know how long it's going to last. Now with the itr headers is there anything I need to do to make them fit or will it go right in?

800 for your exhaust? if you want a not so loud exhaust but get some noise in there with pretty good performance imo get a Apexi WS2.. as for cai good choice* i made the mistake of buying a sri jdm cf intake i changed to a INJEN RD series CAI and it made a HUGE difference. cold > hot air
