Default Greddy vs Apexi...opinions welcome :)

Ok...i search for info about the 92-95 apexi ax turbo kit and found nothing.

Why are so many people running the Greddy SOHC kit over the Apexi? just the difference in price? Overall the Apexi looks like a much better kit...with better overall quailty in my opinion...ball-bearing..etc...but the cheapest i found the kit was for $2025.00, anyone seen them any cheaper?

I can get the GReddy kit for $1400, but i'm really starting to like the Apexi kit....but only a few members here are running them....

is price the bottom line for people going w/ GReddy over Apexi?

opinions please...

Greddy kit seems more of a beginner kit. The Apexi overall has more high quality parts. intercooler more effecient, better turbo, blah blah. At least, that is what I was told.

Kind of a overkill sometimes, which.... is fine with me.

Both kits are still good. It's just the Apexi one is better.

I think what you'll find is the Apex kit is more expensive. It looks to be a better kit, which is saying a lot because I think Greddy makes some real quality stuff, but the Apex I belive comes with a little bigger turbo plus it's ball bearing (hence the added cost).

Also the detail of the kit weren't really well known until lately (it seems like anyway).

I'm a member at this board, and it is specifically for people that have and are interested in boosting their d16's. Some good info on there, one of the most knowledgeable member's is Dav-G. http://pub19.ezboard.com/fturbod16forumturbod16

Finding info the turbo itself is kinda hard, I have searched for awhile now.
Here are some sites related to the kit:

id rather go with the greddy kit IF money and safety was a consideration. Apexi if i wanted to take out my rebar and wanted a stupidly huge IC for a small turbo.

that said Id go for the Apexi for more power potentialm, and i believe it has an external wastegate.

Why don't you check the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries site? I bet they have info there.
