How do I lift a 82 Civic sedan?
I'm looking for an inexpensive and "simple" way to lift my car 1-2" for added ground clearance for Forest Service roads of the northwest.I'm NOT looking to go off road or abuse the car,I just don't want to damage the oil pan. (Note:I am in the process of fabricating a skidplate) I don't want to switch tires+rims if they'll strain the motor or crumple the fenders. And I don't want to put strain on the axles either. Is this possible?
I don't know the shock travel, but if you raise the hight you are affecting the how long the shock must compress/rebound. I don't think just putting on sleeves will work. imo. but whatevs.your also going to screw up your alignment by raising your car. fyi.
