NEED HELP WIRING DECK IN 89 SI
I followed this wiring information for my car:
1988-91 Honda Civic Stereo Wiring
Constant 12V+ Blue/White
Switched 12V+ Yellow/Red
Ground Black
Illumination Red/Black
Dimmer n/a
Antenna Driver's Pillar
Front Speakers 6 1/2" Doors
Left Front (+) Blue/Green
Left Front (-) Gray/Black
Right Front (+) Red/Green
Right Front (-) Brown/Black
Rear Speakers 6 1/2" Rear Deck
Left Rear (+) Blue/Yellow
Left Rear (-) Gray/White
Right Rear (+) Red/Yellow
Right Rear (-) Brown/White
Result-NOTHING
it worked though when i connected my constant(yellow) and switched(red) together and connected them with the illumination wire(red/blk).
*I have to turn my lights on for it to work and it erases my memory.
also when its connected like this sometimes my inside light fuse is blown and i have to replace them and my trunk light is on but is very dim
any suggestions?

does your stock harness still have the OEM plug on it? if so save yourself a headache and go get a stereo adapter from the auto parts store. purchase it once and it will come in handy from now on, every time you decide to swap in a newer better deck. or if you decide to swap back to original. and its easy as hell to connect, unless your color blind
nope just a bunch of wires.
i was planning to buy it though. but wanted other suggesttions.
hey man im connecting the **** same way i see it on the info and **** aint happening.

Check your fuses if you think everything is wired up right according to whatever you're looking at.
When I wired up the head unit to my old Camry I wired it all up the right way, didn't work, took it to an audio shop only have to have them replace a fuse I didn't see that was behind the dash and not listed on the fuse box label.
