cold water spray on hot engine bay?result
depends how hot it is and how much water probably. You can crack one by pouring cold water into the motor while it's hot, but spraying it off with a garden hose while it's warm won't hurt it.
i think you would crack the block depending on where you live, and would constantly needs refilling.
just mess with your water/antifreeze mixture. most mixtures are 50/50, some people go as high as 70water/30antifreeze. water dissipates heat more effecively
also look into better radiators

pouring cold water in a hot block like that can definitely crack it. As for cooling, make sure it's a strong enough antifreeze mix for your climate. The stock radiator is enough unless you turbo. I had a GSR swap and never had an issue with heat with the half size, single core Civic radiator. If you go bigger it will take longer to warm up to proper temperature and run right and blow warm air in the winter.
