So my butterfly's are not opening all the time i should say. V-tec still engages i have no CEL's, but the butterflys still won't open. Every once and awhile they will open when they want but but most of the time they dont. My car sat for a week then today i get in it to drive and this started to happen out of nowhere. Could it be a vacuum line? it is to dark for me to work on it now but any input will help before i try to figure this out in the morning.

 

first, check your fav lines.. use a vac tester to check the valve for movement..

if that shows that they are stuck/hard to move, then take off your intake manifold and clean it.. that should get them running again
