Need a camber kit, will these hold up to Auto X?
Hey guys, i'm getting my car ready for Auto-X this year. Already have most of my suspension done, but i really need some camber adjustment because I daily my car and run drag some too. I found these from Spoolin Performance, they look to be the exact same design as S2's and blox, but when I talked to the guy over there, he said they are "white box" without labels, but made in the same factory as Blox. I just need something adjustable w/o breaking the bank because I still have other areas to finish.

Thanks guys.

Ruston, good God, you must be the only auto-x person in 100 miles.
I think you might be wanting to adjust between camber settings for auto-x and drag?
You will also have to adjust your toe-in setting every time you adjust camber. Not that hard to do but you will need some angle stock, tape measures and measuring skills.

where were these when i had my EF!!
as scott said, a toe agjustment will be necessary when you change the camber setting. but those units look fine. skunk2 style/copies. just keep an eye on the hardware that tightens the ball joint to the arm (4 allen head bolts) as those get loose sometimes

ScottBell, where are you from? There's another guy here at LA Tech with me that got me into the Auto X thing (Will Hall, 00 Subura RS), there's a few guys from the Shreveport/BC area as well. My friend and I are planning on making a few events, between Little Rock, Dallas and southern LA. I need some help on figuring out where some are, like the CENLA EVOC one, i'm guessing its in Alexandria?
And yes, I know i'll need to adjust my toe too, thanks, i mostly need to pull out some camber right now, i'm at like 3*, which sucks for about everything. I'm in pretty good with a local alignment shop and get cheap alignments, plus i'm going to talk to them about really hooking me up for putting a sticker on my car, lmao.

EVO center is just north of Baton Rouge. You would come down US 61 and watch for the signs. Don't forget open lapping days first sat. of month at, the newly renamed, "circut at Grand Bayou" $125 and really laid back
Well things may be on hold for a bit longer than I thought Auto X'ing...My motors hurting some, ever since I almost hydrolocked it it hasn't felt as strong, but its been getting worse lately. I'm probably going to invest in a B swap and may put all my suspension pieces onto my 88 4 door and campaign it. It's really my wifes car, but she'd rather have an auto, and I found an auto CRX I may buy, then I'll take her car and park my CRX for a while.
why don't you give special proyects a call. They carry hard race parts , maybe they have something for you.

I wish there was a simple way to dial in another degree of camber in the EK chassis without using a kit, An offset bushing would be a dream....
I run the skunk arms in my car, I got them when they first came out. To tell you the truth, just make sure that upper slider is tight after every race. Mine slipped loose once at an event and I didn't think it was it. The whole way home it would adjust on bumps and what have you and it was very awkward. I haven't had a problem since, but that would be my first concern. If it is smooth metal between the slider and control arm, put some sand paper between it to help fight the urge of slipping.
But like I said, insuring after every event that they are tight and did not move is your first line of defense. You can't beat the price but you get what you pay for so don't expect them to be the best camber kit ever made.

Well, I had a chance to compare the Hardrace components from SPMS (Kiwi) back-to-back with several other brand we sold the last years.
Here is what I had to say about it....
The front upper camber arms kit is much stronger in material compared to xxxxxx
Also there is much more adjusting range.
I also like that the screws for the ball jounts are 8mm (instead of 6mm compared to Ksport, Skunk2 and so on...).
I´m sure this will give much more clamping force and will prevent the upper ball jounts from "sliding" while hard cornering combines with slicks or semi slicks.
I would suggest to give Kiwi a call.

You hear a lot about these types of kits hitting the shock towers, how far down (I know its a general term and depends on a lot) before this becomes an issue?
I haven't had a problem with my skunk arms hitting and the car sits fairly low. I am actually going to raise it up some.
