1991 integra ls heater issues!
I am having issues with my heat. I just bought a used resistor switch and its fine, my blower motor is brand new, I pulled it out and tested it, worked fine. I then tested the power that goes to the resister switch and the wires that connect to the switch in the dash and I had power at both places. Help me out! Its way to cold out to be driving without heat. Could my blower motor relay be bad and if so where is it located? I was told its under the hood and its actually the relay for the fan too. The resistor switch I bought has one spring that is slightly messed up, but its not broke or burnt, and even if that one was I would still have three other speeds. I need help fast!

from what i know the resistor switch should send power directly to the fan check the wireing in between also check out connectors and make shure there is no rust or corrosion hope that helps dude let me know
Checked all that, got constant 12v to all the wires to the resistor switch and when the switch is plugged in there is power in the switch. I don't know what else it could be. Gonna try and find the blower motor relay and see where that goes.

No, and I have tested all of the wires, and I can't seem to find the blower motor relay.
our cars are famous for resistors going bad in our ICU. check out g2ic.com and search ICU. it will show you how to replace it for less than $5 and probably fix any elecrical problems you have.
Thanks tsdneil, Ill look into that, but I don't think that is it at this time, because when I got the car the blower motor worked just fine, then I decided to try n wire tuck the car. That was a bad idea, so I put everything back to normal making sure that no wires were pinched when I put the dash back in. Then I tried using the heat and it jsut didn't work, But I think I may have fried the speed switch, because I had a/c in it and it was removed. I like having my cd player hooked up to a switch so I can shut it off if I see a cop, so I took the a/c-blower motor speed switch apart very carefully and found the a/c switch wires and found the power wire and the light wire for when it's turned on and hooked it up to my cd player. Then I put the case back on and tested everything and heat and cd player worked. Then I attempted the wire tuck and im at the point where Im at right now.
If I can't get it figured out soon, Im just gonna hook the blower motor up to a switch and just run it full or nothing.

Well my blower motor only worked on the highest level and I swapped out the resistor and now it works fine on all levels. I have a 91 integra by the way.
Yea i need to test the wires and the switch I just dont have the tools or gadgets to do that. And thank you. Also whats odd is my car leaks water that drops right on the ecu cover and it feels like it is coming somewhere around my heater fan cuz when it was raining i put my hand down there on the fan and it was wet. Maybe that coulda fried something?
i had that same problem on my 92 da and my blower didnt blow air it blew air but reAL LITTLE so i changed the blower from another one junkyard find and it works now and my buddy had the same problem no hot air at all just cold we changed the heater core and it works so try those options or behind where the radio goes there is a line that comes from the heater **** try to turn it all the way over to hot good luck

i have the same damn problem...at first my **** only worked on the third dot then when the weather got really cold my switch dont work at all no matter what number i set it too no air is blown..but my heater works..i just have to use the outside air to blow it in
That sounds like your resistor switch took a crap. I think car quest has them for $30 give or take a little. Then you will have all four speeds. And if you don't know where it is mounted, you have to take the glove box out and its right there on the blower. Hope this helps man.
