Just like the title says I bought a clean crx off of here a few months ago.
On the rear bumper where the license plate sits in the bottom lip, and screws in at the top, that piece is brocken off on the driver side of it. So I could get the license plate to sit in the lip and bolt in on the right side but not the left side there is nothing there. The piece has a thread coming off the back of it were it screws into a nut on the backside of the bumper but it is rusted there so there is no way to get this thing out. I need to mount the license plate and don't have a way to. please help. I am talking about #30 in this picture.

 

man. something similar happened to me. I couldnt get a bolt out of it. So i just straight up grabbed my dads drill and drilled it in. haha.

Looks fine. but i regret it

 

what did you drill though? the holes in the bumper to screw the plate bolts through? or you drilled this piece out and put new one in? I am very curious if you can post pictures, if it wouldnt inconvience you

 

anyone else have a solution ?

junkyard, buy a new piece, zip ties

 

The same thing has happened to me, and the frame that the license plate brackets are mounted to is a rusty mess. If you found a solution, please let me know. Thanks!
