Default itr vs skunk2

i know this topic been cover all over the place, but i'm confuse everyone talk about skunk2 stage 1 better then itr. are they talk about tuner series or pro? i need a cam slight better then itr. is a daily car.

i can get a set itr for 150(97 i think) or get skunk 2 stage 1 or 2 just don't want the cam wore out my valve train quickly, it is a daily driver car and once awhile track.

Why don't you look at the cam specs here and decide what you want. You don't have to worry about cam wear with any of the cams on the list, but which cam you get will determine which valve springs you need. At a bare minimum you need to buy ITR intake springs for your intake cam and move GSR intake springs to the exhaust (if you have a GSR). If you get SK2s1 or more aggressive you should probably get Skunk 2 valve springs. Better to keep on the mild side if you're running stock comp.

IIRC, the SK2 stage 1s are slightly more aggressive than ITR cams, but they are similar. If your motor does not have a lot of aggressive mods (such as high-compression pistons), you should also take a good look at the Buddy Club 3+. It is a great cam for daily drivers.

Best of luck with your project.

Blox A is also a good option.

Pro 1's

The newer cam profile is a better cam than an ITR while not being too agressive for a DD and 10.5-11:1 comp

If you have a 11.5-12.0 motor I would use Pro2's personally but for a DD I think the Pro1's are a nice cam and readlily available used.

If you want to do some fine tuning Rocket's grinds are really good.

If all else fails, find some dusty JUN IIIs and add some comp -- call it a day lol -- good all around cam that made power in every setup I saw it used in (quite a few)
