For those of you who don't know me, my name is Derek Robinson.

I operate a shop in Carlisle, PA called "Innovative MotorWorks", specializing in Honda/Acura engine building / EFI tuning.

This thread is to be an ongoing update on the progress of a project owned by the man I owe my passion for these cars to, my father.

Over the past couple years, he has restored this 1988 CRX Si to near-pristine condition, and has built several different engine combinations for it, the latest one being a 11.5:1 compression, 95x84mm, big-cammed B-Series in which made 248whp naturally aspirated.

Being an avid all motor fan for a while now, my father decided it was time to try something new.

The CRX's new setup is as follows:

Darton-sleeved B20 block
84.5mm bore
89mm LS crank
Wiseco pistons
Eagle H-Beam rods
ACL bearings

CC Cylinder Heads-ported PR3 cylinder head
Brian Crower Stage 3 cams
UGR springs/retainers
Victor X IM

Full-Race T3/44 ramhorn
Garrett GT3076R, .82 AR ex
Precision 46mm wastegate
Full-Race back-door intercooler
TiAL 50mm BOV

The goals for this project are to make between 425whp-450whp, and hopefully produce some high-10-second 1/4 mile passes in the light CRX chassis.

Considering the car went 12.2 @ 113mph when it made 235whp, I don't think it will be too big of a problem.

Anyway, without further chit-chat, here's some pretty pictures.

That was just from lubing the journals and rotating the cam a little bit.

The cams themselves were lubed afterwards, Bootsie.
